Free biomass event for high energy users

Businesses and organisations interested to hear how biomass could reduce their energy costs, lower their carbon emissions and help them move away from a costly dependence on fossil fuels are invited to attend a free event at Cranfield University, Bedfordshire on Wednesday 16th March (10am – 2pm). 

A host of industry specialists, including Carbon Clear CEO Mark Chadwick, will be on hand to explain how biomass can benefit high energy users, and why there’s never been a better time to invest. Attendees will also be given the chance to meet with the experts individually at a series of 1-2-1 advice clinics. These will be held before and after the main event (8-10am & 2.30-6pm) and provide a unique chance for businesses to hear first-hand how biomass systems can be tailor-made to meet their exact requirements. 

Visitors on the day will be given a full guided tour of Cranfield University’s own biomass system in action, which was recently installed to future-proof its energy supply and help protect against long-term energy price increases. The university will be showcasing how it integrated a 950kW Flogas biomass boiler into its existing district heating system and how it’s now able to deliver 24/7 heating and hot water to 34 campus buildings – all while saving up to 500 tonnes of CO2 each year.
